You can give your sponsored child an animal. You can also give an animal for a country in general (our National Coordinators will give the animal to a family within ICCM's range of care).
Even one farm animal can make a big difference in the economic life of a poor family - giving milk, eggs, and sometimes meat to sustain life.
Prices of animals may vary at times. Not all locations within a country are able to receive an animal. If the family of your sponsored child cannot receive an animal as you intend, 100% of that money will go to the child and his/her family.

Our Give-a-Cow project in Rwanda has produced several generations of cows from the originals given 9 years ago. Families and villages value these life-giving gifts. This is a self-sustaiing project that we are attempting to grow. View a brief video of our Give-a-Cow project.
We have now initiated a Give-a-Cow project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. You can join with others to purchase the first generation of cows for families there.
Cow Shares: In either Rwanda or the Congo you can purchase the cow for the full amount or purchase a "cow share," joining your contribution with others to make it possible for a cow to be purchased to make a difference for a family.

This particular gift is not to an individual child, but to an entire children's hostel. A buffalo produces 13-15 liters of milk per day to supply needed nutrition to ICCM-sponsored children living at the hostel. It also saves on hostel food costs.
