An Entire Planet of Stories Worth Telling
At just 50-cents per tree, planting near the children we serve will provide life-changing opportunities for them, their families, and whole community.
ICCM has partnered with ARC, the pioneers that have led the world in forest restoration efforts. Responsible for over a BILLION trees, ARC leaders will help ensure that ICCM projects transform communities and empower our kids. With locations and influence all over the world, ICCM is positioned to plant millions of trees that will impact schools, nutrition, and the economies where our kids grow up.
We provide the dignity of employment to impoverished communities that will produce, plant, and protect emerging forests.
We often serve children in regions that have known a lot of conflict... in some cases, hundreds of years of conflict! Oppressors, past and present, harvest too many trees to make money. Desperate communities, today, will continue to over harvest trees for food, shelter, and income. Once over-harvested, soil becomes shallow and washed away, new vegetation struggles to grow, wildlife moves on, and clean water disappears.
Do you know what happens when children don't have access to clean water? Nothing good. (But did you know trees make clean water possible?)
"I thought trees were all about clean air?" It's true! More trees mean cleaner air. Trees can absorb harmful gases and particles. Trees also play a critical role in absorbing carbon dioxide, removing it from the atmosphere.
Nutrient rich soil will produce higher quality food for consumption and sale. Stores of natural, clean water will reduce significant risk of deadly disease, especially for children under the age of 5. Healthy kids that can attend school are much more likely to escape poverty, avoid human trafficking, and graduate with skills, ready to lead in their community.
