We believe that with the right nutrition, tuition, dedicated teachers and schools, and medical care, children in some of the harshest climates and economies in the world will yet thrive! Their dreams will yet come true. 

In the 1950’s and 60’s, attentive care for children in Haiti, India, and Hong Kong launched into an organized movement. By 1965, ICCM and our sponsorship program had begun, partnering western families with children around the world. For more than 60 years, International Child Care Ministries has provided donors with a reliable opportunity for generosity, connection, and genuine care.

And now, on the shoulders of 60 years of compassion, stewardship, and hard work, ICCM is expanding capacity and creativity! We are empowering entrepreneurs, investing in sustainable solutions, cultivating financially generative models, and adapting sponsorships to a global, changing economy.

With the generous support of donors, we are excited to celebrate and focus on 5 key areas:

Sponsorship

Sponsorships provide children with tuition, nutrition, medical care, and more. Funds are directed through local, trustworthy caregivers, who consider a child’s needs, social context, and season of life when applying support. The opportunity of sponsorship is vital for the development of thousands of children.

Education

ICCM has helped our partners to establish several schools and hostels around to world, offering a quality education to marginalized children. Our efforts include several approaches, such as helping to build schools, publishing curriculum, feeding students, and hiring hundreds of teachers.

Trees

Forestry efforts near the children we serve will provide life-changing opportunities for them, their parents, and whole community. ICCM has partnered with ARC, the pioneers that have led the world in forest restoration efforts. Millions of trees will empower local economies, provide income for schools, establish access to clean water, and improve the health and nutrition of whole communities where our kids grown up.

Scholarships

An education is not free in much of the world, and often ends with 8th grade. Through donor provided scholarships, ICCM can empower students to attend primary and secondary schools (high school), drastically increasing their potential to break cycles of poverty and oppression. Scholarships also help students, graduates, and parents to be trained and job-ready with practical skills and education opportunities beyond high school.

MicroEnterprise

Job creation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic solutions are essential for ICCM’s success. When we empower entrepreneurs, especially women and graduates of ICCM programs, we create leadership, revenue, and further job-creation opportunities. Some enterprises intentionally impact the health and well-being of whole communities, such as recycling initiatives, environmentally friendly construction, and creating hygiene products for girls.
