Description

In 2017, 1.2 million children in Burundi suffer from chronic malnutrition, leading to stunted bodies and permanent brain damage. Kibuye Hope Hospital partners with ICCM to boost the health of moms and preschoolers by serving a nutritious porridge called BUSOMA, comprised of soy, sorghum and maize, with a little sugar and oil. Twice a week the hospital offers outpatient meals of BUSOMA and sends kilo bags home with families. ICCM sponsored children also receive dry Busoma as funds are available.
