How long does a sponsorship last?
Sponsorship continues until a student completes their secondary education. If a child moves away or becomes ineligible, we inform you and give you the opportunity to transfer, or to decline sponsorship of a new child.
How many children can I sponsor at the same time?
There is no limit to the number of children a person can sponsor at the same time. We encourage our donors to give as they feel led. Some folks support two, three, four, or more children. While this generosity is greatly appreciated, it is not expected. Every single sponsorship or donation to our various initiatives contributes to our goal of helping children around the World.
Is the cost to sponsor always $38 per month?
Most children in our program can be sponsored for $38 per month. However, that amount of U.S. dollars does not have an equal impact everywhere in the world. For example, while $38 might be sufficient for many children in our Africa locations, about twice that amount is needed for a similar impact in Brazil; more in other regions. We are growing our sponsorship model to creatively address global economics, including scaling rates and allowing children to be sponsored by multiple donors, as needed.
