When Trees Grow, Kids Thrive!

At just 50-cents per tree,  planting near the children we serve will provide life-changing opportunities for them, their families, and whole community.

Accelerated Restoration Collaborative

ICCM has partnered with ARC, the pioneers that have led the world in forest restoration efforts. Responsible for over a BILLION trees, ARC leaders will help ensure that ICCM projects transform communities and empower our kids. With locations and influence all over the world, ICCM is positioned to plant millions of trees that will impact schools, nutrition, and the economies where our kids grow up.

We provide the dignity of employment to impoverished communities that will produce, plant, and protect emerging forests.

Trees Do So Much!

In many cases, it starts with a job. We EMPLOY to RESTORE!

Employ to Restore

When you purchase trees, that money supplies the needed seeds, compost, tools, and labor to grow a nursery or manage a forest. ARC will hire and train residents to successfully plant and grow the trees. With nursery projects, we give away trees, FOR FREE, to local farmers and families who can use them as provision for food and income.

Trees = Tuition = Teachers

Communities at the margins often struggle to adequately support educational infrastructure. Planting trees helps ICCM to change all that!

That's Right, EMPLOY to Restore!

Nurseries and reforestation projects help families afford tuition and help ICCM train and retain teachers. Our pilot nursery project in Ethiopia will provide additional income for school staffing, as well as agroforestry-jobs for some teachers, parents of ICCM students, and other community members. Trees produce food, as well as lumber, that can be used or sold.
Now You're Ready!

Deforestation and Soil Erosion is Devastating for Children

We often serve children in regions that have known a lot of conflict... in some cases, hundreds of years of conflict! Oppressors, past and present, harvest too many trees to make money. Desperate communities, today, will continue to over harvest trees for food, shelter, and income. Once over-harvested, soil becomes shallow and washed away, new vegetation struggles to grow, wildlife moves on, and clean water disappears.

Do you know what happens when children don't have access to clean water? Nothing good. (But did you know trees make clean water possible?)

"I thought trees were all about clean air?" It's true! More trees mean cleaner air. Trees can absorb harmful gases and particles. Trees also play a critical role in absorbing carbon dioxide, removing it from the atmosphere.

AND Did You Know...

that trees significantly impact soil quality, weather patterns, and the quality of local nutrition and water?

Trees Are The Sponges of the Earth

Trees absorb rainfall, drawing some of it underground and helping an appropriate amount to evaporate from the surface. Evaporated water in the atmosphere moves to the next community as rainfall. Water drawn underground deepens and improves the biodiversity and quality of the soil. Deep soil from trees doesn't wash away (soil erosion) and becomes shallow. This clean water also fills aquifers accessed through springs and wells. Better water and soil means better food, diverse wildlife, and less disease.

Better Water & Soil

This means that more kidsStay in Schooland Stay Healthy!

Nutrient rich soil will produce higher quality food for consumption and sale. Stores of natural, clean water will reduce significant risk of deadly disease, especially for children under the age of 5. Healthy kids that can attend school are much more likely to escape poverty, avoid human trafficking, and graduate with skills, ready to lead in their community.
